James Rees talked about getting a balance between artist and teacher. He also did a big research project with Flavia Bastos, and well known researcher from the University of Cincinnati. https://lsc-pagepro.mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?i=607232&ver=html5&p=21
He talked about monotypes and monoprints, and made a monotype. His advice:
1. Connect to a variety of resources and connections...
2. Balance by moving forward (like riding a bike)
3. Gain exposure to multiple artists and methods and making styles
4. Let go of things you don’t need to carry anymore.
